Camerawork - Shot type, angle and movement
Establishing Shot:
An establishing shot is often shown at the start of a new scene. It tells us a bit about the setting.
Wide Shot:
We use a wide shot to show how much space is around the subject and how populated that area is.
Medium/Mid Shot:
When the shot is just above the waist and shows them in a certain place so we can see what they are doing and there facial expressions.
Medium Close Up Shot:
Shot from chest up to get rid of distraction to focus on reaction or facial expression.
Close Up:
To focus on their facial expressions only.
Extreme Close Up:
When they really get in their face to show one part of the face.

Mise-en-Scene means the arrangement of the scenery, props, etc on the stage of a theoretical production or on the set of a film.
It includes:
- Costume
- Props
- Setting
- Hair and Make up
- Actor positioning
- Lighting
- Body language and Facial expressions
The child in the back behind the building could show us that he is further away from the others in the series as he is not next to all of the other children on bikes.
The restricted sign next to the man in a hazmat suit shows us that there could be a lab with something dangerous in it.
The Chief in the background could show to us that this could be a mystery Netflix series.
The girl in a gown and buzzed hair could be telling us that se is being tested on or in an insane asylum.
The alphabet in the background could be telling us that it is a way to communicate as there is every letter in there.
The bikes could tell us that it is set in an older time as bikes are not that modern nowadays.
The walkie talkie in the mans hand in the back could show that he is a police officer.
Costume: His hat and mostly dark clothes connote that he is a suspicious man
Props: The props like his bag could also connote that he looks a bit shady
Setting: With the dark setting and then all of the brightly lit lights on the rides lit connotes that he looks like he is up to no good as everyone is looking at the rides but he shows no interest.
Hair & Make Up: This is a long shot so we cant see much hair and make up.

Cutaway: it helps people understand more about what is happening and tells you extra information.
Montage: A bunch of clips put together to move the story forward.
Match Cut: it matches the characters actions into the next scene to make the story flow better.
