A sign can be any physical form to which we give meaning, including words, pictures, colours, clothes, etc.

My subject position is gay male with friends, 13 year old male student and my birthday is 17th December.

Someone who knows about this movie could describe it as Mr Bean, This is a sequel, Comedy, Action.

Someone who hasn't seen this movie could describe it as Action looking, Spy or Hitman, Serious.

Denotation - The dictionary definition

Connotation - The deeper meaning - What we associate with the word or symbol

A Gun: Painful, Death, Murder, Violence, Gangs, Police, Robberies

Clown: Nightmare, Horrifying, Mortifying, Creepy, Killer Clowns, Scary

Thor: Hero, Strong, Masculine, Big

• The bloody axe could show that he is a vengeful bear
• He is a murderer shown by the axe
• The woods could describe what the setting for the movie will be
• The dead body on the floor could suggest they are dead
• There are 2 killers (Winnie The Pooh & Piglet)
• Piglet has a knife and Winnie The Pooh carries an axe
• The full moon gives it more of a horror vibe
• The woods could reference The 100 Acre Wood
• The red and yellow title is a good reference to Winnie The Pooh and his shirt
